Resort Manager’s Message
Dear Plantation Beach Club Owners,
I would like to invite you to our Owners Meeting on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. This meeting gives owners time to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, too. It is also a time for exchanging ideas and getting answers to any questions you may have about the resort.
Below are highlights of the many projects that took place in 2009 as well as ones we are planning in 2010.
PROJECTS IN 2009
- Both guest bathrooms were renovated in April.
- The inside of the elevators was renovated.
- The fire sprinklers in both garages were updated.
- Garage-light fixtures and parking-lot light fixture were replaced. We also added extra light fixtures in the garages.
- We renovated one unit to show you how the upcoming unit renovation will look like. This model unit is being used by our owners and guests during this time. We hope to show you the unit during your next stay so you can see the wonderful renovations.
PROJECTS SLATED FOR 2010
- The property will be closed to owners and guests in the second week of September and reopen in early October while the property undergoes a complete unit renovation. The three-week project will involve installation of new carpet, furniture, bedding and other items. During this renovation we will also be working on 3 to 4 balconies. We will be drilling the balcony down and replacing and repairing any concrete damage.
- During the early part of the year, we will be working on the lobby skylight and replacing it with two smaller skylights. This project will occur during the day and will have minimal disruption.
The staff and I are very excited to welcome you back “home” soon and look forward to seeing you at the Owners Meeting on Tuesdays.

Resort Renovation Project
Plantation Beach Club at Indian River Plantation Resort will be closed to Owners and guests from September 11 through October 2, 2010, while the property undergoes a complete unit renovation. The three-week project will involve installation of new carpet, furniture, bedding and other items, as well as repainting of the unit interiors. A week before the project begins and while the resort is open (the week of September 4), a small number of units will be taken out of service to prepare for the renovation. Furniture and other items will be removed from the units and new furnishings received, requiring the presence of work crews and creating only a minor level of noise.
